What traditional service and technology can we compare with? What services can we think of for laser technology so far?

 

  • Surface markings: Especially for workpieces that are difficult to reach and require small markings, laser marking is preferable, but micromillimeter markings can also be considered. In terms of durability, since the laser marking is not applied to the material as a separate layer gene, but is reflected by changes in its surface structure, it is definitely more durable. It can only be removed from it by destruction.

  • Cutting, cutting out: Laser cutting does not require any other materials, practically no cutting waste is generated, and in most cases no surface treatment is required after the process. All we have to have is electricity and, if necessary, an exhaust system.

  • Punching: If accurate, not mechanically feasible nearby drill holes are extremely small diameter would be required - eg. in ceramic plates - then laser technology is the most suitable for this

What does laser technology offer compare to the marking possibilities of different materials ? How and how much better are we working with the laser instead of the “old” technology? Why and when is it worth choosing the laser?

 

  • Printing technology - laser:The environmental load and the required materials are negligible in the case of laser technology, as there are no chemicals, paints, drying chambers or pre-surface treatments. The process requires only electricity and the finished product can be used immediately.

  • Mechanical cutting - laser cutting:Contrary to water jet or plasma cutting, no additional materials (water, gas, abrasive, etc.) are required, no large amounts of waste are generated and additional machines can be kept to a minimum (maximum extraction). All we need is electricity for our laser cutter. Laser cutting is very fast and precise - with an accuracy of tenths of a millimeter - the process has little heat, usually no post-processing, and a very clean process, with minimal waste, as the laser beam evaporates and burns small amount of material.

  • Mechanical fine grinding, polishing - laser surface treatment: Laser surface treatments do not require any prior chemical treatment, and the use of polishing paste can be dispensed with. We only use electricity for the necessary work.

  • Replacement of sandblasting and surface cleaning processes: Furthermore, the steel plate does not curl.
